Since last week was Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, let’s talk about something that we have not so far…men’s fashion. In fashion, we see many times the styles of women and what looks best on women (which is great by the way), but let’s dive into some of the men’s fashion seen last week at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Shows.

We have truly stepped into the age of the hipster. So much of men’s fashion today is influenced from a previous time. Pleated pants, straight leg slacks, tight collared shirts, Mr. Rogers cardigans, skinny ties, Oxfords, and Sebagos…all elements of men’s modern day fashion. Brands that gained acclaim in the sixties, seventies, and eighties are beginning to resurface and once again dominate the men’s fashion industry. Oxfords, Sebagos, Hush Puppies (three brands my father and grandfather wore frequently) have reemerged and have become the go-to fashion trends for the modern day hipster/prepster. As a matter of fact, I’m wearing Hush Puppies right now.
