Are you just as excited for the movie “SPARKLE” as I am? As we wait for the movie to hit theaters August 17, check out this duet from Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks off the “SPARKLE” soundtrack! The song was produced by R. Kelly. This was the last song Whitney recorded before she died.

The Whitney Houston Tribute At The 2012 Billboard Music Awards…

Last night Whitney Houston was honored with the Millenium Award at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. As I do wish the tribute was a full fledged tribute with more of her music and fellow singers honoring Whitney, I definitely feel Jordin Sparks did a great job singing Whitney’s signature-”I Will Always Love You.”
I also thought that Bobbi Kristina’s acceptance speech on her mother’s behalf, was short but sweet…

FIRST LOOK: The Remake Of The Movie “SPARKLE”…

This morning the Today Show gave us a first look at the trailer for the remake of “SPARKLE”, starring the late Whitney Houston, Jordin Sparks, Derek Luke, Tika Sumpter, Carmen Ejogo, Mike Epps, and Cee-Lo Green.
The movie hits theaters this August, and growing up, Sparkle was/is 1 of my favs, so I am very much looking forward to seeing this movie. Though bittersweet, with knowing this was Whitney’s last.

After hearing Beyonce’s “Run The World(Girls)”, which I’m sure we all hoped would be our ladies’ anthem for the summer, unfortunately it’s not doing as well as I’m sure most would expect from Beyonce, and to be honest, the song just wasn’t her best. But Jordin Sparks just debut her own ‘girl anthem”- “I Am Woman”…
What do you think? And is it better than Beyonce’s ‘Girls’?…Be honest!!
