Last Thursday here in Atlanta, Fine Art +Fashion, a benefit event that raised funding for NBAF’s [National Black Arts Festival] educational and humanities programming. The event featured couture fashions from designers such as Dolce and Gabbana, Fendi, Chanel, and Armani. Clothing for the event was provided by Saks Fifth Avenue.
The event was hosted by Victoria Rowell, former star of The Young and the Restless.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has named Beyoncé as the official face of their limited-edition “Fashion For Haiti” T-shirt. As the spokesperson for “Fashion For Haiti,” Beyoncé has a message for all fashionistas: “Join me and the fashion industry by buying and wearing the Fashion for Haiti T-shirt. Together we can send a message of hope by raising much needed funds for the people of Haiti.” The CFDA will donate the net proceeds from each T-shirt to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. Friday night at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, BET, MTV, VH1, and Centric, presented BET’s ‘SOS Saving Ourselves: Help For Haiti’
Hosted by Diddy, Queen Latifah and Pharrell Williams, the event featured performances by Chris Brown, Nas, Ludacris, Monica, Robin Thicke, Mary J. Blige, Keri Hilson, Jazmine Sullivan, Busta Rhymes, India.Arie, Akon, Damian Marley and many more. The money raised will go to organizations providing immediate relief in Haiti, including Wyclef Jean’s Yele Haiti foundation, C.A.R.E. and Project MediShare.
