As we all heard this past weekend, the unfortunate events that took place with Bobby Brown and his children at Whitney’s Homegoing. A lot of people are #TeamBobbyBrown, and all feel he is being treated unfairly.
Reverend Al Sharpton tweeted about it:
I am at Whitney’s funeral. I spoke with Bobby Brown trying to calm him down and not distract from the services. Today is about Whitney!
We are out of the service. I don’t want anyone distorting Bobby Brown. He has shown love and respect today. Stop hatin’
I do feel it’s unfortunate IF the family is acting on their personal feelings about Bobby, instead of what Whitney would’ve wanted, as she did share over a decade with Bobby Brown and shares a child with him. Also, ultimately, it should always be about what’s best and what Bobbi Kristina needs.
What puzzles me, Bobbi Kristina is 18 years old, old enough to express what she wants and whether she wants her dad and her siblings there. Let’s keep that in mind when we look at a situation like this. It may not be all because of the Houston family. And NONE OF US know what the relationship is between Bobby and Bobbi Kris or Bobbi Kris and her siblings.
DNA doesn’t give you an automatic pass into someone’s life, especially if that DNA wasn’t important enough for you to choose to be an essential part of that person’s life. Pics in the media don’t document everything.
I do pray for Bobby Brown, as I know he’s grieving for his ex-wife, and I also pray for Bobbi Kris and the Houston family…that they’re all allowed to grieve for Whitney, respectfully.
I’m very disappointed in those media outlets who referred to Bobby’s children as an ‘entourage’ when the reports first hit the net. That’s disrespectful. Children are not an ‘entourage.’
See Bobby’s statement as to what happened during the funeral: Wait, there’s more…
