4 MORE YEARS!!! Our President, Barack Obama Is Re-Elected!!!

Nov 7, 2012 | By:

Beyonce posted her thoughts after President Obama’s victory that sums it up best:

Thank God our country got it right…again!! I was a nervous wreck, even more so than I was four years ago, as I sat and watched the numbers come in and the closeness of this presidential race. I never understood why this race was as close as it was, but I’m so glad that our country chose the best man!

Obama sealed the deal with 303 Electoral votes (270 needed to win) vs. Romney’s 202! And he also won the Popular Vote, which wasn’t looking too good for our President at first. But the bottom line, President Barack Obama will get his two terms in office and I look forward to him leaving his great legacy as not only our first black President, but as one of our best presidents!!!

If You Instagram/Facebook/Tweet Your Vote, You May Have Committed A Misdemeanor…

Nov 6, 2012 | By:

Some of you have been proudly posting your vote results on your social media. But are you breaking the law?

As reported on  Gizmodo.com:

According to the Citizen Media Law Project’s Documenting the Vote 2012, the laws vary wildly from state to state. In New York—from which most of my friends’ photos have been posted—the § 17-130 law is unequivocal:

“Any person who…makes or keeps any memorandum of anything occurring within the booth, or directly or indirectly, reveals to another the name of any candidate voted for by such voter; or shows his ballot after it is prepared for voting, to any person so as to reveal the contents…is guilty of a misdemeanor.”

Delaware, though? You’re all good. Knock yourself out.

Here’s a complete list of what your state laws have to say about photos in the voting booth. See the thorough resource assembled by Citizen Media Law Project for much of the same info in handy chart form: Wait, there’s more…
