In an exclusive interview with Uptown Magazine, Tameka Foster talks about her life as a career woman, and most importantly, her life as a mother to her 5 sons.
Here are some excerpts:
Tameka is a single mom with a career like many other women. During the day, while a nanny cares for Usher V (aka Cinco), 4, and Naviyd, 3, and while her sons Ryan 12, and Kile, 10, (children with her first husband, music exec Ryan Glover) are in school, she also has her son Darrin, 21, whom she had at age 19. (His father was murdered before he was born), Tameka runs two businesses. She launched Estella, a clothing and home-decor boutique in Roswell, Ga., in 2010; and KangaZoom, an indoor children’s play facility in Alpharetta, Ga., which opened at the top of 2011.
Tameka, who attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, was already a groundbreaking fashion stylist with iconic sartorial moments to her credit: Lauryn Hill’s trendsetting bohemian Balenciaga; Jay-Z’s game-changing adoption of the button-down shirts; Toni Braxton’s much-ballyhooed body-baring Richard Tyler at the Grammys. Two years ago, Tameka received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Art Institute of Atlanta for her contributions to fashion and music. She was a success well before a pop star put a ring on it… Continue reading Tameka Foster Says She’s A Good Mother & Usher Is Very Accustomed To Having His Way…
It has really gotten out of hand. I’ve been doing my best at keeping my mouth shut….but the ignorance is really sad and upsetting. We are supposed to be super human and watch people we love get slandered, lied on, and ridiculed. It is one of THE hardest things to accept.
In any other workplace…if someone directly tells your mother or sister is a liar and a fake ect…you would naturally express yourself. However, the pure happiness and joy I’ve witnessed and experienced helps me to keep my mouth shut.
It’s unfortunate that Celebrities have to accept so much ridicule and rumors being spread about them, and if they dare say something back, as most of us would, all hell would break loose.
Hello Hello Baby Blue!
We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012.
Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven.
She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives.
We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support.

The most beautiful girl in the world.
YES!! Our Hip-Hop Royal Family has given birth. The princess has been born. And though reports are going back and forth saying the name is ‘IVY BLUE or BLUE IVY‘, no one received confirmation of the name as of yet.
I find it hard to believe though, that Beyonce would name her daughter the same name as her Hubby’s ex. If you didn’t know, Jay-Z used to date singer Blu Cantrell back in the day.
The other theory based on the net, is that IVY was chosen because IV=4 and a Y was just added. And we all know the significance of the #4 to our girl Bey.
I was hoping for the name Brooklyn Carter, as we all were, but whatever the name is, that baby girl has an amazing life ahead of her.
Anywho, the jury is still out on the name.
The reports according to the NY Daily News:
A very pregnant Beyoncé had checked into Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC (the same hospital I gave birth to my son, so me and Bey share something common. ) on Friday night under the alias name “Ingrid Jackson,” a hospital staffer told the Daily News.
Beyoncé and Jay supposedly rented out the hospital’s entire fourth floor for $1.3 million, the employee said.
