Unless you’re a super comic book fan, you probably didn’t know this was coming out. And if you haven’t seen ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, then you definitely aren’t aware of the newest attempt at the Superman series.
Superman is such an iconic character. So iconic, that the movie has been re-made time and time again. Due to this, we pretty much have the gist of the movie. A child is sent to Earth by his parents as his planet slowly withers away. He lands in a small, rural portion of Kansas where he is taken in by a loving couple. He grows and he, as well as his parents, discover that he has amazing powers. Disguised as a journalist, the young man uses his powers to protect his home and the world he inhabits. Blah, blah, blah; it’s simple really.
Details about the film’s plot have yet to be released, so here’s a plot synopsis: Wait, there’s more…
‘Battle Of The Year’ explores the international world of break-dancing.
“Battle of the Year” is the Olympics of break dancing, a tournament held every year that attracts all the best teams from around the world, but the Americans haven’t won in fifteen years. Los Angeles Hip Hop mogul and former B-Boy Dante (Laz Alonso) wants to put the country that started the Sport back on top. He enlists his hard-luck friend Blake (Josh Holloway), who was a championship basketball coach, to coach his team. Armed with the theory that the right coach can make any team champions, they assemble a Dream Team of all the best b-boys across the country. With only three months until Battle of the Year, Blake has to use every tactic he knows to get twelve talented individuals to come together as a team if they’re going to bring the Trophy back to America where it started. Inspired by the actual World championship held yearly in France.”
The release date of ‘Battle of The Year’ is set for January 25, 2013.
